Julie Ann Nevin-Miller
October 9, 1956 - February 17, 2024

Julie Ann Nevin-Miller, 67, of Cameron, passed away on February 17th having made plans the afternoon before for the upcoming months.  We are certain she was as surprised as we are.

Julie was born October 9, 1956, to Albin and Dorothy (Severson) Rust in Rice Lake.  After graduating from Barron Senior High School in 1974, she went on to marry, farm for 20+ years and raise two boys, Jeremy and Brandon, who she dearly loved.

She was later employed at Bargain Bills where she kept the grocery section well organized and full, along with making new friends to whom she’d play Happy Birthday on her violin (behind closed doors).

Julie met the love of her life, Jason Miller, far too late.  He always told her “I love you as big as the world”.  Together they enjoyed traveling, going to Blues Festivals, antiquing, riding their Harley’s, volunteering at the Blue Hills Riders group and doing everything together.  She loved their pool and even fishing, especially with her grandkids.  Julie really enjoyed their weekends with Gavin and Gage, watching movies, going for walks and just spending time together.

She loved to bake and loved sharing it even more!  She and Jason made the best lefse around.  Julie was known for her bargain hunting, always saying “Never Pay Retail”.  She had a beautiful smile, was instantly liked by all who met her and loved immensely by those who knew her well.

She is survived by her husband, Jason; brother, John (Kathy) Rust; sister, Joni (James Marcotte) VanDusartz; her two boys, Jeremy (Pam Gehant) Nevin and Brandon (Ann Filipiak) Nevin; grandsons, Gavin and Gage; step-daughters, Mandi (Wil) Sinclair, Rhianon (Trevor) Peterson, Mary Jo (Nathan Thome) Westphal & Cassie (Tracie Bertch) Miller; and step-grandchildren, Caleb, Dawson, Emerie, Cole, Mallori, Kelan, Breyan, and Bentley.

A memorial service for Julie will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.  Visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:00 Saturday morning at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.  Online condolences can be made at www.rauschandsteelfuneralhome.com.
